Ignite the Holy Fire Within
“Help me create a fire—a holy fire—for the world to see.” I’ve transitioned from a place of endless questions to a profound sense of knowing. At least it feels that way. It’s as if I’ve stepped into a realm where acceptance reigns, where I can allow life to unfold as it is meant to. This isn’t just uncertainty fading away; it feels more like an arrival—a beautiful awakening, or perhaps both. I have peace in me. An exceptionally quiet solace that has redefined joy for me

Exit, Stage Left
I sense that I have left, or perhaps I’m in the process of leaving the stage. Shakespeare famously wrote, “All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players.” Once, I’m sure I agreed. Today, my perspective has dramatically shifted. I find myself in a different space, one where the roles I’ve played in my past feel like a script I was impressed to follow in a series of windows through which I’ve observed life and if I wanted to stop watching and step in,

Still Walking
I am still walking, and I always will be. This trek is on a path I’m meant to take, one of continual steps, some forward, sometimes back, but once guided by fear now always guided by faith and love. Walking has taken on much more than just physical activity; it can be a deep, spiritual practice for me. I’ve come to realize that my life is meant to be a spiritual walk, sometimes a mystical canter through the experiences that shape me. For me, it’s become about finding “h

The Pilot’s Flame
In the depths where shadows softly dwell, A flicker stirs, a secret flame concealed, A pilot hears whispers, tales of heart’s farewell, In quietude, soul’s brilliance still revealed. When winds of doubt blow fierce against the light, And storms in life conspire to snuff the glow, Seek the spark from dancing dreams in the night, To stoke the fire and let love's current flow. With courage, the pilot ascends through the dark, An unbound spirit, embracing it’s w

Wandering in Wonder
My mind wanders and wonders well. The sense I have of this has emerged from the quietest corners of my life. I often find myself reflecting on the nature of my thoughts and the spaces they inhabit. It’s apparent to me now my mind is a vast landscape where curiosity thrives and admittedly the weeds of doubt and anxiety may still take root. Wandering in wonder fills the space of curiosity I cherish exploring. Curiosity has always been my compass, guiding me towards the unkno

The Discipline of Being
I’ve never really been disciplined. Not in the way that I’ve seen others embody it. Sure, I’ve fallen into routines that seemed to serve me and those around me, but these were never born from a desire to harness the potential I know is deep within me. It was more about surviving the day-to-day grind, checking off boxes on a mental to-do list, and trying to please those I cared about. At some point, I made declarations to myself. I said, “I will do this, and I will be that.” I

Embracing the Unexpected
It’s taken near three years since leaving a thirty-five year career to think I may have just begun to settle into my ‘self’. While settling in to something or someone I’ve not always been quite clear about, it remains that the best parts of my life, the parts new and some old revisited, are often the most unexpected. It would seem the most definitive plans I had, have failed to achieve anything more than the most general paths I’ve taken. Many expectations left broken in

Petty Logical Distinctions
Do we not live most of our lives in more intimate experiences than the divisive arguments we engage in today? Take family holiday gatherings, once focused on catching up and sharing warmth, now often dominated by gossip and opinions about people and circumstances we hardly know. Conversations have shifted to contentious debates fueled by headlines, overshadowing the joy of connection. Arguments replace meaningful discussions, drowning out the holiday spirit with emotional tirades over trivial issues, often marginal and distorted truths. We're losing sight of value of genuine relationships in favor of petty disputes and misinformation. In short, we’re losing our way in petty logical distinctions .
