No Stopping Curiosity

Updated: Apr 7

The best questions arise from genuine curiosity and deserve thoughtful answers. Questions emerge when we seek new information, challenging our current understanding. They are not about conformity but rather about imagination and exploring possibilities, aiming to expand or improve our knowledge.

This may not be entirely logical, and that's intentional. Which leads me to this question:

What is the real value of logical thinking today? Logic, reason, and rationale are human constructs relying on subjective truths to formulate another subjective truth? Are we pretending that awe can formulate premises that lead to an objective truth?

Here’s my simple view on logic:

- Logic lacks imagination.

- Logic fixates the mind.

- Logic dismisses the soul.

I understand if philosophy professors might roll their eyes. I trust mine would. While deductive reasoning has its merits, I've always felt uncomfortable with linear paths. For me, it felt like a conformity I couldn't embrace. No doubt, logic is invaluable in the digital and AI era, but I value human intuition much more.

In a world where opinions masquerade as facts, often sourced from headlines, what can we truly be logical about in our relationships? Our purpose? Our life’s meaning? The natural human aspect of our world threatens the validity of logic while nature operates in its own established order with or without us. An order we can’t even see nor explain. But we try any way. As we should.

I trust I will encounter differing opinions and possibly condescension leaning on intuition over logic. My intuition tells me to use my imagination, believing there's a creative will to tap in to so I can find unexplored paths to travel. I have no expectations aside from embracing the possibilities of taking the paths less traveled and exploring beyond reason.
